The Rheingau region and the Rhön, Odenwald and Vogelsberg mountains: Frankfurt am Main is surrounded by a highly diverse range of cultural landscapes, each with its own culinary traditions and specialties. In Frankfurt’s cosmopolitan Westend district, they come face to face with flavours from across the world. Sometimes traditional and simple, sometimes sophisticated and complex. Welcome to Restaurant Gustav – here’s to the good new days!
Head chef Jochim Busch and his team chart exotic new culinary territories – using top-quality products and natural ingredients from the Frankfurt region. The selection of wines focuses on authentic, naturally aged varieties. All 180+ entries on the wine list come from Europe – with around half originating in Germany. The handmade crockery is also a regional discovery; it is specially made for Restaurant Gustav on the Bergstrasse.
The restaurateur couple Milica Trajkovska Scheiber and Matthias Scheiber are behind the project. Restaurant Gustav is their second restaurant after Weinsinn, which was awarded a Michelin star in 2013.

The regularly changing dishes on the evening menu can be combined into three, four, five or six courses. Your menu will be accompanied by wine if you wish. At lunch, you can choose between two- or three-course menus.
To put it in a nutshell: this is Frankfurt’s most delightful new restaurant in recent years.
Head Chef Jochim Busch (...) is, it is already clear, an excellent choice. No matter the dish, the 28-year-old doesn’t make the slightest mistake. (...) Alongside the characterful selection of food and wine, attention has also been paid to providing a suitable visual concept.
Our discoveries of the week: trout with fennel pollen, cauliflower with couscous. Restaurant Gustav in Frankfurt’s Westend district offers regional fare with international flair.
